Wasserman, 92, Beatrice, died Sunday, May 1, 2005, at the Parkview Care Center, Beatrice. She was born March 30, 1913, at rural Diller, and graduated from Diller High School. She married Herbert C. Wasserman on July 1, 1934, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Diller. They lived in Wymore for 26 years before moving to Beatrice in 1963. She worked at Marshall Produce in Wymore for 16 years and was then employed at the Beatrice State Developmental Center as a cook for 15 years, retiring in 1978. She was a former member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Diller, St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Wymore, and was currently a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Beatrice, where she was a member of the Lutheran Women Missionary League. She enjoyed her grandchildren, gardening, flowers and cooking. Survivors: daughters, Marian Niday of Beatrice, Linda Pethoud and husband Ron of Harlan, Iowa; sons, Dennis Wasserman and wife Betty of El Reno, Okla., and Leo Wasserman and wife Bonnie of Byers, Colo.; daughters-in-law, Wilma Wasserman of Claremore, Okla., and Sandy Wasserman of Blue Springs; 18 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Winona Lottman, Erna Lottman, Johanna Lottman and Sophie Weber, all of Beatrice, Stella Henrichs of Marysville, Kan.; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Gesina (DeVries) Lottman; her husband, Herbert (July 13, 1993); sons, Lyle and Leon Wasserman; two great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Fritz, Theodore, Robert and Harry; sisters, Folena Sasse, Anna Gebhardt, Grace Baumfalk, Katherine Koch, Gertrude Todd and Cena Wasserman. Obituary | 13 March 2006 | Obituary: The obituary for Elmer was recorded on 13 March 2006. Elmer B. Sasse, 87, of Fremont died Friday, March 10, 2006, at Haven Manor in Lincoln. He was born Jan. 30, 1919, in Diller to Albert and Folena (Lottman) Sasse. He grew up on the farm, and graduated from Diller High School in 1937. In 1939, he began working as a crop insurance clerk in the Jefferson County AAA office, later becoming the chief clerk. At the same time he also had a small farming operation. In 1951, he became the secretary of the chamber of commerce of Moorhead, Minn. In 1952, he was named as treasurer of Midland Lutheran College in Fremont, later becoming the vice president of finance at the college. He remained a part of the college administration until retiring. He had received an honorary doctorate from Midland Lutheran College and he received the first Pro Christo Award that was given by the college. He had served in the U.S. Army from Sept. 19, 1942, through November 1945. He saw duty overseas in 1944. He was appointed an admiral in the Great Navy of the State of Nebraska on Nov. 7, 1949. He served the city of Fremont on the planning commission and the board of adjustment for 20 years. He was a longtime member of the Fremont Kiwanis Club. He had been very active in the United Lutheran Church in America. He had been the stewardship director of the Midwest Synod, and the first layman to be elected treasurer of the synod. He had served on the board of directors and board of pensions of the Lutheran Church in America, and the board of the American Missions - LCA. He also served on the board of the Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago, the board of the Nebraska Lutheran Campus Ministry and the board of the Nebraska Lutheran Outdoor Ministries. He was a member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Fremont. He married Elda Krebs on May 24, 1941, in Diller. Survivors include: his wife; two sons, Roger (and wife, Jan) Sasse and Gary (and wife, Jean) Sasse, all of Lincoln; a brother, Alfred (and wife, Brook) Sasse of Lincoln; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Lydia Mann, Clarence and Amanda Krebs, Viola Smith, Elmer and Bethel Krebs, Mildred Malchow, Orville and Dorothy Krebs, Phyllis and Delmar Wiemers and Faye and Edwin Schmidt; 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Lutheran Church in Fremont with the Rev. John Plowman of St. Timothy Lutheran Church and Rev. Delmar Wiemers of First Lutheran Church officiating. Visitation will be from 1-9 p.m. Tuesday at Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont with the family receiving friends from 6:30-8 p.m. Burial will be 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in Prairie Home Cemetery in Diller. Military honors will be rendered at the cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Timothy Lutheran Church, the Elmer and Elda Sasse Endowment Fund at Midland Lutheran College and the Nebraska Lutheran Outdoor Ministries. Lottman, age 71, of Camdenton, Mo., passed away Saturday, July 8, 2006, at the Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, Mo. He was born July 10, 1934, at Diller, Neb., the son of Fred and Gertrude (Specht) Lottman. Conrade was married on April 21, 1957, to Betty Rogers. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He is survived by his wife, Betty; one daughter, Jolene Culp of Camdenton; one son, Carl Lottman and wife Becky of Camdenton; one granddaughter, Sarah Lottman; one brother, Orville Lottman and wife Dorothy of Kenesaw, Neb.; one sister, Blanche Monaghan and husband Jim of Diller, Neb.; niece and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Dale Lottman. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hedges Funeral Home of Camdenton.
