Delbert Pigors
Delbert W. Pigors, 76, of Crete, passed away suddenly Friday (Sept. 16, 2011) at home. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the Crete Funeral Home, 1182 Main St., Crete, and from 10 a.m. Tuesday at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1610 Main St., Crete, until the 11 a.m. funeral service.

Interment will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Crete. Memorials may be made to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Grant Park, or to Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Crete.

Mr. Pigors was the electrical inspector for Crete. He was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church Dart Club and was an avid golfer.

He is survived by his loving children, Julie (Gregg) Kuznieski, Teresa (Brad) Bendle, and Jeff (Joelle) Pigors. He was the cherished grandfather of Sam, Alex, Gregory, Elizabeth, Erin, Bradley, Abbigail, Claire, Logan and Rheya; and the fond brother of Gilberta (Edward) Biedzycki and Richard (Sue) Most. He is also survived by his former wife, Barbara Pigors.

He was preceded in death by a son, Michael (1975).2

Roland George Stadt, 89, of Jackson died Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born June 7, 1921, in Grant Park, Ill., to George and Maria Sophia Caroline Riechers Stadt. Roland married Luella E. Ahrens June 16, 1951.

He farmed in the Grant Park area before moving to Jackson, where he farmed and also owned and operated a water hauling business more than 35 years, retiring in 1992. Roland was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson.

He is survived by his wife, Luella Stadt of Jackson; five sons, Steve Stadt of Kentucky, Randy Stadt of Colorado, Rodney Stadt and Darrel (Carla) Stadt of Jackson, Darwin (Claire) Stadt of Oak Ridge; two daughters, Lavonne Harrell of Falmouth, Va., Diane Lunsford of Jackson; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Edgar, Edmund, Myron; and two sisters, Elnora and Marilyn.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home and 1 p.m. to service time Friday at St. Paul Lutheran Church.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the church, with the Rev. Robert Henrichs officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.2

Edgerton/Janesville? Myron G. Stadt, 79, of Edgerton/Janesville, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2006, at Evansville Manor. He was born on July 27, 1926, in Petersburg, IL, son of the late George and Mary (Reichers) Stadt. He was united in marriage on Jan. 7, 1950, to May Ellen Rasmussen at St Paul's Lutheran Church in Grant Park, IL. She preceded him in death on March 16, 2002. Myron was a member of St John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Edgerton, where he was an Elder of the church. He farmed in the Township of Porter and was a member of the NFO. He loved to mow his lawn, woodworking and picking rocks out of his fields. He is survived by 6 children: Carol (Leonard) Suprise of Janesville, Irma (Keith) Huschka of Evansville, Lynette (Leon) Walker of Stoughton, David (Martha) Stadt of Evansville, Deborah (Richard) Purkapile of Evansville and Brenda (David) Meudt of Arena; 13 grandchildren; 2 stepgrandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 2 stepgreat-grandchildren; a brother, Roland (Luella) Stadt of Jackson, MO; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren, Ronald and David Suprise; a sister, Elnora Trubach; 2 brothers, Edgar and Edmund; and a twin sister, Marylin Backhus Geisler. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 17, 2006, at ST. JOHN Evangelical Lutheran Church , Edgerton, with the Rev. Carl Seeger officiating. Burial will be in the Fassett Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday, April 16, 2006, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the EHLERT FUNERAL HOME (ST. HWY. 51 S.), Edgerton, and at the church on Monday from 10 a.m. until time of the services.
