From the Sioux City Journal - December 9, 2008 Ronald Kuklentz ELK POINT, S.D. -- Ronald Kuklentz, 61, of Elk Point passed away Sunday, Dec. 7, 2008, at his residence. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Wednesday, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Mary Feistner of St. Paul Lutheran Church officiating, at Akron Community Fire Station on Highway 3 in Akron, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Anderson-Siecke-Kober Funeral Home in Elk Point. Condolences may be sent online to www.koberfuneralhome.com. Ron, the son of Ralph and Virginia Kuklentz, was born March 30, 1947, in Sioux City. He received his high school degree and completed further training at Western Iowa Technical Community College in Sioux City. He was blessed with four children from his marriage to Vicky (Stewart) Kuklentz on March 30, 1966, at the Richland Methodist Church. He worked as a maintenance director for many years. He loved spending time with his family, hunting, working on leather, wood and all household projects. He especially enjoyed riding his Harley with his wife this past summer. Thankful for having shared his life are his wife, Vicky of Elk Point; his children and their spouses, Jackie and Randy Pirner of Sioux City, Angel and Larry Groethe of Elk Point, Lori and Stacey Rabey of Akron, Iowa, and Dwight and Kim Hall of Jefferson, S.D.; 10 grandchildren; his mother, Virginia Kuklentz of Connelly Springs, N.C.; a sister and her husband, Maureen and Joe Lowman of Connelly Springs, N.C.; and many family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father; his parents-in-law; and an infant grandson.2 |
