Tracy, 85, formerly of Fergus Falls, died March 28, 2007, at the Good Samaritan Center in Indianola, Iowa. Dorothy Lois Stensrud was born Dec. 19, 1921, in Maplewood Township to Anton and Bertha (Moore) Stensrude. She attended school in Maine Township, District 24, and in 1939 married John C. Piepho. “Dot” began her successful career in sales during the 1940s (Avon) while living in Fergus Falls. She moved to California in 1951 and in 1953 moved to Iowa, where she married Edward D. Tracy. During her many years in Indianola, Iowa, she owned and operated Tracy’s Fashion House. Dorothy is survived by her son, Gary J. Piepho of Henning; grandaughter, Summer Leigh; great-grandaughter, Olivia Taylor Leigh; grandson, Gary Jr.; and sister, Doris (Andrew) Hanson, all of California. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Betty Lou, Ethyl Marie and Colette (Bengston); brothers: Herbert (Elsie), Marvin (Marion) and Franklin (Della); and her son, Timothy Nicholas Tracy. Memorials may be made to the local Alzheimer’s Association.¹
