MemoMemo: Lewis Cornelius appears as a tapayer in 1826 in Shirley T/S, Huntingdon Co. PA when he paid tas for one cow. Sometime after Oct 1850 and bef 1857, Lewis Cornelius moved his family from PA to Ogle Co., IL. His son Richard Scott Cornelius also joined the dfamily in Ogle Co IL. Lewis was about 60 years old when he made the move with Amelia, who died in Polo, Ogle Co. IL. The Ogle Co. IL Directory, believed to be about 1879 also list Steele A. Cornelius which is a son of Richard Scott Cornelius.1
