Note18 November 1926On Thursday, Nov 18, 1926 at 11 o'clock Tina sold the 78 acre farm located about half way between Springville and West Valley; approximately 50 miles south of Buffalo, NY. In addition to the farm, livestock included: 1 horse, 9 cows, 1 bull, 2 pigs, 85 hens, 18 roosters, and some ducks. Also all farm machinery, household goods, milk cooler and cans, 2 trucks and 45 ton of hay were sold.7

Obituary5 August 1927Obituary: The obituary for Christena was recorded in The South Sioux City Mail, page 1 in South Sioux City, Dakota, Nebraska, United StatesB, on 5 August 1927. Mrs Tena Mortenson, of South Sioux City died in a Sioux City Hospital, Saturday, July 30th after a short illness.
Mrs Mortensen had resided in South Sioux City for the past year, coming here from New York.
She was born in Omaha, Neb, October 7, 1891, being 36 years of age at her death. Surviving her are seven children, Marie Anna, Henry, Chris, John, Perry and Lewis, three brothers, Raynold and Henry Hansen, of Ponca, Otto Hansen of Baron, Wisconsin and two sisters, Mrs George Deroin of Hubbard and Mrs John Cleveland of Homer, Nebr.
Funeral services were held at the officiating. Burial was at Dakota City Lutheran Church, Monday afternoon at two o'clock, Rev Geo E Mortenson.2
