KOENNING Leona S. Koenning, 94, of Beecher died March, 10 at St. James Hospital in Chicago Heights. Ms. Koenning was born on July, 28, 1915 in rural Crete, Il. She married Gilbert Koenning on August 19, 1934, She is survived by a son Gerald (Joyce) Koenning, 2 daughters, Janice (Howard) Lange and Gloria Hupe. She is also survived by 2 sisters Irene (Alan) Kraemer, Helen Wieringa. 8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren also survive. She is preceded in death by her parents Henry Piepenbrink and Emily nee Redeker. 2 brothers also precede her, Norman and Edwill Piepenbrink. Visitation will be held Friday, March, 12 from 2:00-7:00 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Beecher. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday at Zion Lutheran Church. Memorials may be directed to the Dorcas Society. Hack Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.3
