Anglin March 13, 1918-March 14, 2005 WINONA LAKE, Ind.- Bernice D. (Dippon) Anglin, 87, 337 Grace Village Drive, died at 1:15 p.m. Monday at Grace Village Health Care. She was born March 13, 1918, in Dwight, Ill., to Jesse and Lenora (Hahn) Dippon. On June 5, 1937, she married Max R. Anglin. She was a lifelong resident of Leesburg, Milford and Goshen, and had graduated in 1936 from Milford High School. She was a member of the Leesburg United Methodist Church and the Leesburg Homemaker?s Club. She was a homemaker and Salvation Army volunteer. She is survived by her husband, Winona Lake; two daughters, Sharon (John) Gibbs, Lincolnshire, Ill., and Arlene Hoffer, Palatine, Ill.; four grandchildren; four great-grandsons; two sisters, Violet Rambsy, Goshen, and Hilda (Paul) Seybert, Fort Wayne; and a brother, Delbert ?Bud? (Leona) Dippon, Milford. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Milford, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at Leesburg United Methodist Church. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with the Rev. Barbara Lloyd officiating. Burial will be in Leesburg Cemetery. He was born on May 24, 1916 in Winona Lake, Indiana to Allie (Stackhouse, Anglin) Mosier and Raymond Anglin. His father died when he was 3 years old and his mother remarried George Mosier when Max was twelve. On June 5, 1936, he married Bernice Dippon who preceded him in death, March 14, 2005. Max lived most of his life in Kosciusko County. Five years ago he moved to Northbrook, Illinois to be near his family. He was a well respected farmer and member of Leesburg Lions Club, Masonsic Lodge, Leesburg Methodist Church and Farm Bureau. He lived a very interesting life with varied interests and traveled the world. His sense of humor and smile will be remembered by all who knew him. He devoted his life to family, farming and helping others get a start in life. Surviving him include two daughters: Mrs. John (Sharon) Gibbs, Lincolnshire, Il, Arlene Hoffer, Palatine, Il; Four Grandchildren: Mrs. Joshua (Michele) Acosta, Deerfield, Il; Mr. Michael (Natasha) Gibbs, Chicago, Il; Christopher Hoffer and Fiancee, Heather Youngberg, Chicago, Il; Matthew Hoffer, Denver, Co. Five great- grandchildren, Joshua E.J., Alexander, and Zachary Acosta; Aidan and Cameron Gibbs. He is survived by one sister, Mary Stookey of Noblesville, one sister – in –law, Hilda Seybert, Ft, Wayne, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers and sister-in-laws Harvey (Mae) Anglin, Leo (Annabelle) Anglin; brother-in-law, Emra Stookey, and his wife’s family members, Ray ( Erna) Bray, Richard ( Lila) Cripe, Robert (Violet) Ramsby, Delbert (Leona) Dippon, and Paul Seybert. Calling will be at the Mishler Funeral Home in Milford, Indiana from 3 to 8 pm Thursday, June 6th . Funeral services will be at 10 am on June 7th at the funeral home with visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow in the Leesburg Cemetery.
